A bit about me...
There's nothing I love more than meeting people and telling their stories. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for television journalism. To be able to live that passion out every single day is truly a dream come true.
I first joined the KALB news team in Alexandria, Louisiana, in January 2011 as a multimedia journalist. I spent two years learning anything and everything about the television news business while at the TV station - reporting, shooting, editing and producing. I eventually worked my way up to weekend anchor.
In December 2013, I took the next big step. I chose to leave KALB and take a multimedia journalist job at WGME in Portland, Maine. As the station's first multimedia journalist ever, I expanded my craft and took on new challenges in a bigger city. I realized a year and a half in that my heart was still in the south. So, I chose to go back to KALB in Alexandria. Louisiana remains "home" for me.
Since returning to KALB, I have been promoted to 6 p.m. co-anchor. Fortunately, I haven't given up my passion of reporting. Each day, I turn a package, VOSOT and then anchor the evening news. It's the best of both worlds.
